SimpleEvents is a simple site for creating events, inviting guests, and tracking RSVPs to events and collect RSVPs. It is not a business, it carries no advertising, and it exists only to run these invitations. This page describes exactly what it stores and why.

What this site collects

What this site does not do

Who can see your RSVP

Emails

This site emails you only in direct response to something you did: a confirmation when you RSVP, a notification to the event's host that you responded, and a sign-in link if you request one. There are no newsletters or marketing emails, and there is nothing to unsubscribe from. The messages contain no tracking pixels or remote images.

Where your information is stored

The site runs on Google Firebase (authentication, database, file storage, and hosting), so the information above is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure and is subject to Google's handling of it. Confirmation emails are sent through Gmail. These are the only external services involved.

Cookies and browser storage

Signing in stores a session token in your browser so you stay signed in; that is set by Firebase Authentication. If you start an RSVP that needs email confirmation, your answer is held in your browser's local storage until it's submitted, then removed. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

Keeping or removing your information

RSVPs are kept while the event is relevant and are not deleted on a fixed schedule. If you'd like your RSVP, your account, or any other information about you removed, email support@simpleevents.net and it will be deleted.

Children

Guest counts may include children attending an event, but that is a number recorded by the adult who RSVPs — the site is not intended for use by children and does not knowingly collect information directly from them.
